The Yale Google Developers Study Group (GDG Yale) is a student- and researcher-led community dedicated to advancing technological innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving using Google technologies. Our mission is to foster technical growth, interdisciplinary learning, and ethical innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social impact.
Through hands-on workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and applied research projects, GDG Yale connects students, faculty, and alumni who are passionate about developing real-world solutions using the Google ecosystem, including TensorFlow, Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Firebase, Flutter, and Earth Engine.
Our study group serves as a launchpad for collaborative projects, hackathons, and open-source initiatives that align with Yale’s mission of fostering knowledge in service to humanity. We also partner with the Women Techmakers program to promote inclusive participation and leadership among underrepresented groups in technology.
Workshops and Tech Talks: Monthly sessions on AI/ML, app development, cloud computing, and sustainability tech.
Project Sprints: Interdisciplinary team projects leveraging Google tools to address real environmental, health, and social challenges.
Hackathons and Challenges: Campus-wide and regional events co-hosted with Google Developer Student Clubs (DSC) and community partners.
