Chetan Dryfruits Presents-
HORIZON 1.0 - The Boundary Of What Is Possible

HORIZON 1.0 is a multi-round hybrid hackathon designed to encourage innovation, technical excellence, and real-world problem solving. The competition consists of two online rounds followed by an offline Grand Finale at VCET.

Eligibility

  •  Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

  •  Students from all branches/specializations are eligible.

  •  Participants must register in teams.

  •  Each participant can be part of only one team.

Team Size

  • Minimum: 2 members

  • Maximum: 4 members

Inter-College Participation

  • Inter-college teams are allowed.

Inter-Specialization Participation

  • Inter-specialization teams are allowed.

 

Round 1 - Idea Submission & Presentation (Online)

  • Date: 26th Feb to 7th March

  • Duration: 10 days submission period

  • Evaluation will be done by the organizing panel.

  • Shortlisted teams move to Round 2.

Teams must submit a PPT explaining:

  • Problem understanding

  • Proposed solution

  • Feasibility & innovation

  • Implementation roadmap

Round 2 - Online Hackathon (Prototype Development)

  • Date: 10th to 11th March

  • Duration: 48-hour

  • Selected teams will develop a working prototype.

  • Mentoring support will be provided.

  • Final project submission deadline: 11th March (10:00 AM).

  • Top teams will be shortlisted for the Grand Finale.

Round 3 - Offline Grand Finale

  • Date: 14th March

  • Venue: VCET Campus

  • Shortlisted teams from Round 2 will be invited to present their projects before industry judges.

Participation Fee for Offline Round

  • Selected teams qualifying for Round 3 must pay ₹400 per team as an offline participation fee.

  • The fee covers event logistics, certificates, and hospitality arrangements.

  • Payment details will be shared via official communication after shortlisting.

Final Round Includes

  • Live Project Demonstration

  • Final Pitch Presentation

  • Jury Q&A Session

  • Industry Evaluation

  • Prize Distribution Ceremony

PROBLEM STATEMENTS

  • Multiple problem statements will be released.

  • Round 1 problem statement will be live.

  • Round 2 problem statement will be released at 12:00 AM on 9th March.

  • Teams must strictly adhere to the assigned problem statement.

RULES & GUIDELINES

  • All submissions must be original work.

  • Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Teams must submit within the given deadline.

  • Use of pre-built templates is allowed, but core logic must be developed during the hackathon.

  • Judges decisions will be final and binding.

  • Teams selected for offline finals must be physically present at VCET.

  • Any misconduct or malpractice will result in disqualification.

  • Organizers reserve the right to modify rules if required.

  • Certificates for finalists.
