This hands-on workshop explores two-way communication between a microcontroller and a software system. Participants will build a complete end-to-end setup where a device sends live data to a monitoring interface (hardware → UI), and user actions from the interface trigger behavior back on the device (UI → hardware).

Along the way, the session covers the fundamentals of hardware–software integration: structuring communication layers, designing clean data flows, and debugging across system boundaries. Rather than treating hardware and software as separate domains, this workshop focuses on how they function as one coordinated system.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn how devices transmit data to applications and receive commands in return.

• Understand the components that enable bidirectional communication between hardware and software systems.

• Learn how to identify and resolve issues that arise when connecting embedded devices with software interfaces.

By the end, participants will have a working mini-project that demonstrates a full interaction loop — and a practical framework for scaling the same architecture to larger, more complex systems.
