About this event

You've built the logic. You've tested it in the sandbox. But right now, your Battlesnake has one massive, fatal flaw: the moment you close your laptop, your snake dies. 💀

It is time to leave localhost behind.

Welcome to Battlesnake on Campus: Into the Cloud. ☁️

In this special speaker session, we are bringing in an expert to teach you how to take your Python, Java, or JavaScript server and deploy it to the cloud. 🌐
We will cover the essentials of server hosting 🖥️, continuous deployment 🔄, and how to make your code run 24/7. ⏳

If we are going to climb the global Battlesnake leaderboard 📈 and finally dethrone the global #1 player (andreammm) 👑, our code needs to be persistent. Our snakes need to hunt while we sleep. 🐍💤

What you will learn:

  • 📦 How to package and prepare your local code for deployment.

  • ☁️ Options for hosting your Battlesnake server in the cloud.

  • 🛡️ Best practices for keeping your snake alive and persistent 24/7 on the global arena.
