Gamefest: Tetrio Showdown is a two-phase competitive gaming tournament built around TETR.IO, a free browser-based competitive stacking game. The event begins with a nationwide online qualifier and culminates in a live, spectator-focused physical final at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Building on the success of Gamefest 2026, this edition introduces several enhancements to elevate the overall experience for both participants and the audience.

Online Qualifier (16 November 2026)

A Double-Filter Parallel Model narrows 128 registrants to 32 finalists across two tiers.

Physical Finals (28 November 2026)

All matches take place on the main stage at CS Auditorium, School of Computer Sciences, USM Main Campus and are projected live for the audience and streamed online. Alongside the main competition, interactive side booths will be in operation throughout the physical finals, including Monkeytype Challenge, Chrome Dinosaur Game and AirConsole.

Eligibility

Who Can Compete: Currently enrolled undergraduate students at any Malaysian higher education institution (public or private).

Who Can Watch: Everyone! Gamefest is free and open to the public, just walk in. Come cheer on the competitors, enjoy the side booths, and join our audience prediction contest for a chance to win prizes yourself!
