GDGoC UM's AI/ML Core Team, as part of the Build With AI event series, has identified a growing need to empower students with practical knowledge of AI Agents and how they can meaningfully assist in their day-to-day lives.

By participating in the workshop titled "Building Personal Assistant AI Agents with Vertex AI", participants will gain:

• A foundational understanding of AI Agents and their real-world applications using Vertex AI.

• Exposure to an Academic AI Agent capable of reducing study time by automating lecture slide analysis and note generation.

• Insights into a Career AI Agent that provides personalised resume restructuring advice and cover letter drafting capabilities.

• Practical knowledge of how modern AI tools can be leveraged to improve academic performance and career readiness.

• Networking opportunities with like-minded peers and team members experienced in AI/ML development.

This workshop will feature:

• A hands on showcase of implementing a real AI Agent, by leveraging the Vertex AI platform.
