About this event

In this hands-on session, we’ll take an idea and turn it into a working AI-powered MVP using Google Gemini and Firebase—all in under an hour. You’ll see how AI can help you brainstorm, build, and improve your app without diving too deep into code. Whether you’re a founder, developer, or just curious, you’ll walk away knowing how to build faster, think smarter, and have some fun with AI.

What I'll cover:

  • ROI on AI agents: when agents speed work, cut iteration time, or boost conversion — and simple ways to measure that return (time saved, prototype velocity, and user impact).

  • Where we don’t need AI: examples of tasks better solved with plain logic, strict rules, or privacy-first systems — and how to spot them early.

  • Cost-effectiveness: concrete tradeoffs (model size, frequency, caching, and when to fall back to cheaper tools) so you can build powerful features without an expensive bill.

By the end you’ll have a live MVP, a checklist for when to use AI (and when not to), and practical tips to keep costs and risk under control.

How To Register?

  1. Hit RSVP on the GDG page
Do that first so the community knows you’re coming — 🚨but heads up: this doesn’t officially register you🚨.

  2. Register on Eventbrite (required)
The official tickets are on Eventbrite — please register there to secure your spot:

  3. Want a free student/community pass?
Fill out this community pass access form so organizers can verify eligibility:

  4. Why two pages?
Venue is booked by DCSTW25, so general admission and check-in are handled by their team. So, we're using this space for announcements and RSVPs. The Eventbrite page is the official place for tickets — you must register there.

  5. Laptop: optional, but fun
Bring one if you want to follow along with the live demo. If not, come curious and ready to ask questions.

Can’t wait to build something small and brilliant with you — bring your charger, a silly idea, and your curiosity. 🚀
