HackWesTX is Texas Tech’s annual 24-hour hackathon, bringing together students from across majors and experience levels to build, learn, collaborate, and compete.

This year’s theme is Beyond the Feed, focused on exploring what comes after the algorithm-driven world of TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, AI, and recommendation systems. Participants will work to turn ideas into real projects while solving meaningful problems, experimenting with new technologies, and learning directly from industry professionals.

You do not need to be an experienced developer to participate. HackWesTX welcomes beginners, first-time hackers, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and students from all backgrounds. You can come with a team, form one at the event, or meet other participants once you arrive.

Space is limited, and participant capacity will be capped, so students are encouraged to register early.
