In our Info Session, we introduced new members to GDG TEDU, walked them through what we accomplished last year, and shared how we plan to grow as a community this year. We talked about the events, workshops, and bootcamps we organized previously, and explained how those experiences shaped the direction we’re taking now. One of the key points we emphasized was our updated vision: this year, GDG TEDU isn’t only a space for Computer Engineering or software-focused students, we are opening our community to anyone who is curious about innovation and technology, no matter their background or department. We believe valuable ideas come from different perspectives, and our goal is to create a space where people can learn from each other, collaborate, and actually build things together. While doing this, we are still grounding our work in Google technologies and integrating them into our activities, but in a way that connects with different fields and interests. We also shared our roadmap for the semester, including our AI/ML Bootcamp, technical study groups, career development sessions, and interdisciplinary projects, and invited students to join, contribute, or simply explore whatever interests them. At the same time, we listened to students’ expectations and the kinds of events they want to see, and we incorporated those ideas into our semester plan so our community can grow with their input and participation.
