For the first time in Romania, FC Universitatea Cluj, GDGoC UTCN, and MSG come together to explore how technology can shape the future of performance sports.

Taking place between April 24–26, 2026, “U” Hack! Code in Black & White is a 48-hour hackathon that will bring together 120 students to build real, impactful solutions for the challenges faced by a professional football club.

Participants, working in teams of 3–5 members, will develop AI-powered applications in the sports domain, with direct relevance to the needs of “U” Cluj. What makes this event unique is its real-world impact: the best solutions can go beyond the hackathon.

By connecting academia, industry, and sports, this initiative marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration in Romania, positioning Cluj-Napoca at the forefront of innovation in sports technology.
