We are thrilled to announce the foundational event for the new Google Developer Group on Campus at TKIET! This session marks the official starting point for our chapter, bringing together the first wave of passionate tech enthusiasts to kickstart our journey.

This event was designed to introduce the mission of GDG and outline the vision for the year ahead. The session was broken down into two key parts:

Part 1: Chapter Orientation (1 Hour) This segment formally introduced the Google Developer Group on Campus program to our community. We explored the core mission of GDG: to build a collaborative environment for students to learn, connect, and grow. We laid the foundation for future initiatives by discussing how the chapter will bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice through hands-on workshops, expert talks, and peer-to-peer learning.

Part 2: Vision Setting with the GDG Lead (1 Hour) The second half of the event was an interactive session led by our official GDG on Campus Organizer, Avishkar Patil. He shared the strategic roadmap for the chapter, detailing the exciting technical domains we will explore, from AI/ML and Cloud to Cybersecurity and App Development. Attendees had the opportunity to understand the structure of the new team and the collaborative, inclusive culture we aim to build at TKIET.

This orientation was a perfect opportunity for students to understand the exciting initiatives planned for the year and to get involved in shaping the future of tech at our college from the very beginning.
