Join us at Get into GEAR - Case Closed: Official MLH Hack Day, where 60 students come together for an exhilarating one-day competition spanning three key areas: Analytics, Engineering, and Business Strategy. Co-hosted by GDG on Campus Sheridan, TechBiz Society, and Sheridan Finance Club, with sponsorship from Google, CFA, and MLH. Form a team of four and tackle a compelling real-world case with your designated zone, dataset, and a distinct set of industry judges.

Plus: walk out with free Google Cloud credentials.

This event is part of Get into GEAR, Google Cloud's Career Launchpad campaign. Every registered participant gets no-cost access to Google Skills - Google's official learning platform - plus $25 in Google Cloud credits to build with during the competition.

We're kicking the day off with a dedicated GEAR workshop where we'll get everyone set up and through their first module together. From there you're working toward four Google Skills learning paths covering AI agents, the Agent Development Kit, and Gemini. These are free, verifiable badges that go straight onto your LinkedIn - and if our group hits 90% completion, everyone unlocks a career panel and Q&A led by Googlers.

Our team will be on hand throughout the day to help you work through the paths and answer questions.

The morning sessions are all about in-depth investigation, strategic planning, and crafting your solution, including a session on how to integrate and build with AI for a case study. As the day progresses, you'll present your insights to a panel of esteemed judges from across the GTA, sharpening your presentation skills and networking with industry leaders.

This competition doesn't just end with learning. You'll leave with a project for your résumé, a Google credential on your profile, and a shot at prizes for the winning teams in each cluster.

Bring a laptop. Rally your team and register now to secure your spot.
