본 행사는 GDG on Campus SWU 2026 ImpactUp DemoDay로, GDG SWU 4기 멤버들이 약 3개월간(26.03~26.05) 진행한 ImpactUp 프로젝트의 최종 결과물을 공유하는 성과 발표의 자리입니다. ImpactUp은 UN 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)를 주제로 다양한 전공 배경의 학우들이 팀을 이뤄 실질적인 사회 문제 해결을 목표로 서비스를 기획·개발하는 GDG SWU의 핵심 활동으로, 이번 DemoDay는 그 여정을 마무리하고 성과를 나누는 컨퍼런스입니다.

각 팀은 기획부터 디자인, 안드로이드, 서버, AI/ML까지 전 과정을 직접 구축한 서비스를 발표하며, 사회 문제 정의와 SDGs 연계, 핵심 기능 시연, 기술 아키텍처를 공유했습니다. 발표된 프로젝트는 다음과 같습니다. Oullim(어울림, Team yejimong) 은 시각장애인을 위한 AI 코디 및 옷장 관리 서비스로, 옷을 스스로 고르고 입는 일상의 독립과 존엄을 지원합니다. MediBridge(Team 몽디숭) 는 외국인 관광객을 위한 AI 증상 진단 및 현지 의료진 소통 가이드로, 언어 장벽 속에서도 안전한 의료 접근을 돕습니다. QOS(Team Focus) 는 강제 이주민의 안전한 이동과 소통을 지원하는 서비스로, 긴급 상황 안내(What To Do), 다국어 번역·SOS 카드(Translation Cards), 위험 요소를 실시간 인식하는 카메라 스캐닝(OCR) 기능을 제공합니다. DualTales 는 다문화 가정의 부모와 아이가 함께 참여하는 이중언어 맞춤형 동화 생성 서비스로, 언어 격차 해소와 학습 접근성 향상, 가족 간 소통 강화를 지향합니다. 모든 팀은 Gemini, Google Cloud, ML Kit, Imagen 등 구글 기술을 적극 활용하여 아이디어를 실제 동작하는 서비스로 구현했습니다.

발표 이후에는 참가자들이 직접 투표하는 인기상 선정이 진행되었으며, 시각장애인의 패션 자립을 돕는 Oullim(Team yejimong) 이 인기상을 수상하였습니다. 참가자들은 서로의 프로젝트에 질문과 피드백을 주고받으며 기술적 고민과 문제 해결 경험을 공유하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

2026 ImpactUp DemoDay는 한 학기 동안의 배움과 협업이 사회적 가치를 지닌 실제 결과물로 이어졌음을 확인하는 자리였습니다. 서로 다른 전공의 구성원들이 하나의 문제를 함께 정의하고 기술로 풀어내는 과정을 통해, GDG SWU는 단순한 학습 커뮤니티를 넘어 '실질적인 임팩트를 만들어 나가는 개발자 공동체'로서의 정체성을 다시 한 번 확인할 수 있었습니다.

This event, the GDG on Campus SWU 2026 ImpactUp DemoDay, was a showcase where members of the 4th cohort presented the final outcomes of the ImpactUp projects they had developed over roughly three months (Mar–May 2026). ImpactUp is a core GDG SWU program in which students from diverse academic backgrounds form teams to plan and build services aimed at solving real social problems under the theme of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This DemoDay served as both the culmination of that journey and a conference for sharing the results.

Each team presented a service they had built end to end—spanning planning, design, Android, server, and AI/ML—sharing their problem definition and SDG alignment, live feature demos, and technical architecture. The projects presented were as follows. Oullim (Team yejimong) is an AI outfit-coordination and wardrobe-management service for people with visual impairments, supporting the independence and dignity of choosing and wearing clothes on one's own. MediBridge (Team Mongdisung) is an AI symptom-assessment and local medical-communication guide for foreign travelers, helping them access care safely despite language barriers. QOS (Team Focus) is a service supporting the safe movement and communication of forced migrants, offering emergency guidance (What To Do), multilingual translation and SOS cards (Translation Cards), and real-time camera scanning (OCR) to detect hazards. DualTales is a bilingual, personalized storybook-generation service in which parents and children from multicultural families participate together, aiming to close language gaps, improve access to learning, and strengthen family communication. Every team actively leveraged Google technologies—including Gemini, Google Cloud, ML Kit, and Imagen—to turn their ideas into fully working services.

Following the presentations, attendees cast votes for a Popularity Award, which was won by Oullim (Team yejimong) for its work helping people with visual impairments achieve independence in fashion. Participants exchanged questions and feedback on one another's projects, sharing their technical challenges and problem-solving experiences.

The 2026 ImpactUp DemoDay reaffirmed that a semester of learning and collaboration had translated into tangible outcomes of genuine social value. Through the process of members from different majors defining a shared problem and solving it with technology, GDG SWU once again confirmed its identity as a developer community that goes beyond simple learning to create real, meaningful impact.
