Join this hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to build production-ready AI systems. Guided by Ashmi Banerjee, you’ll build a travel-planning AI agent using Google ADK and Python, moving from interactive experiments to a fully functional API using FastAPI. This workshop is code-focused and aimed at developers who want to build, debug, and deploy real-world AI systems!

Agent-based AI systems help structure complex LLM-powered applications, but integrating them into real-world systems remains a practical challenge.
In this workshop, participants build a travel-planning AI agent using Google ADK and Python, moving from interactive experiments to production-ready execution. We cover agent runtimes, async programming, and exposing agents via FastAPI.
Workshop Objectives
From Experiment to Production: Moving beyond interactive Python experiments to build a production-ready execution model.
Agent-Based Architecture: Utilizing Google ADK to structure complex, agent-driven AI applications.
Asynchronous Systems: Implementing async programming and agent runtimes to handle efficient AI workflows.
API-Ready Integration: Using FastAPI to expose AI agents as functional, real-world services.
Prerequisites & Setup
To follow along with the hands-on coding, please ensure you have the following ready (this is recommended but optional for attendees):
Python 3.10+
Preferred IDE (PyCharm, VSCode, etc.).
UV (Python package manager) installed. View Documentation
