About this event

A talk on running AI directly in the browser, by Luca Del Puppo (Senior Software Engineer at Nearform, Google Developer Expert, former Microsoft MVP, Codemotion Ambassador).

AI inference is moving from the cloud to the client. Chrome ships built-in AI APIs, WebGPU enables local model execution, and the browser is becoming a viable runtime for real AI workloads — with real implications for cost, latency, and privacy.

Luca will walk through what's possible today, both offline and online — testing the current state of browser-native AI live, weighing the trade-offs vs. server-side inference, and exploring how to integrate local models into real applications without burning through cloud credits.

Reserved for selected GDG AI HACK 2026 participants.
