​This session introduces the complete data lifecycle from collection to cleaning to reporting. As a foundation-focused study jam, it’s designed to build the core understanding you’ll need for the sessions that follow. While hands-on application is included, the main goal is to help participants understand how data works before diving deeper in future study jams.

​Participants will explore how raw data becomes usable, learn the differences between data roles, and practice basic data cleaning using accessible tools like Google Sheets.

​Note: Around three-fourths (¾) of this study jam will focus on fundamental concepts, with the remaining portion dedicated to practical data-cleaning exercises.
