This hands-on workshop will guide you through building your own personal voice assistant powered by Gemini and Speech APIs. Participants will learn how to:

• Create an interactive voice assistant that listens (Speech-to-Text), thinks with Gemini, and responds (Text-to-Speech)

• Run the assistant entirely in Google Colab using either cloud or open-source tools

• Explore two setup paths:

  • Path A: Use Google Cloud’s Speech, TTS, and Gemini APIs (high-quality, free with trial credits)

  • Path B: Use open-source Whisper and gTTS for a 100% free setup that runs locally in Colab

• Customize the assistant’s responses and extend its conversational abilities

Prerequisites: Please ensure you have a Google account and access to Google Colab before attending. Basic familiarity with Python is recommended.
