Mentor Me Collective, in partnership with CUNY City Tech, invites you to Sustainable Synapse: Hack for Social Impact — a one-day hackathon that empowers students to tackle real-world global challenges through creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
📅 Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST
📍 Location: CUNY City Tech
👥 Who Can Join: All City Tech students — from Freshman to Senior!
Form a team of five or join one during the event to design innovative solutions addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
🌾 Goal 2: Zero Hunger
💧 Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
⚡ Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
🏙️ Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
No prior hackathon experience is required — just bring your creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset!
Collaborate with peers from different majors
Network with industry mentors and guest speakers
Learn new skills in design thinking, sustainability, and tech innovation
Compete for exciting prizes and certificates
Showcase your project using Google Vids during final presentations
9:00 AM: Check-in, breakfast, and networking
10:00 AM: Opening remarks & event overview
10:30 AM: Career Panel — “Journey into Tech & How Your Role Exists in Tech”
11:30 AM – 5:00 PM: Hackathon time! Work with your team and mentors
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Project presentations via Google Vids
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Awards, certificates, and closing remarks
