This session is divided into two parts, each lasting two hours. In the first part, you’ll get a comprehensive lecture covering the evolution of how code is deployed and scaled across different eras, along with an introduction to modern edge technologies. The session will also provide a high-level overview of key concepts including DevOps, scalability, distributed systems, and observability, helping you understand how modern systems are designed and maintained.

In the second part, you’ll move into a hands-on workshop where you’ll apply what you’ve learned. Participants will set up Docker and kubectl on their own machines and practice deploying a simple application using Docker and Kubernetes. You’ll also simulate a Kubernetes cluster locally using KIND, giving you a practical, end-to-end experience from understanding concepts to actually deploying and managing applications.
