AI Treasure Hunt is the flagship fun event of GDG ITER, designed to create an exciting and engaging experience beyond the usual technical event environment. The event combined teamwork, campus exploration, problem-solving, and light technical challenges to deliver an interactive experience for all participants.

The entire event was planned around major campus landmarks, with carefully selected locations and volunteer checkpoints to ensure a smooth and immersive treasure hunt experience.

Event Format

Team Structure

• Each team consisted of a maximum of 3 members

• All teams started from the Auditorium

• Teams received their first riddle at the starting point

The objective was simple — solve the riddle, identify the correct campus location, and move to the next checkpoint.

Treasure Hunt Workflow

At every checkpoint:

• Dedicated volunteers were assigned to manage the location

• Teams had to present the riddle they solved

• Volunteers verified whether the team had reached the correct destination

• Once verified, the team received the next location riddle

This continued until teams completed all checkpoints and reached the final location.

Verification System

To avoid confusion and ensure fair tracking, every team was assigned:

• A unique P Number (Previous Number)

• A unique A Number (After Number)

These identifiers were different for every team and were used by volunteers to verify:

• Team progression

• Correct checkpoint order

• Authenticity of the riddle sheets

Final Submission Round

After completing the final location:

• Teams returned to the Auditorium

• All riddle sheets were submitted to the backend operations team

• The backend team verified the sequence and correctness of all completed checkpoints

Technical Bonus Round

Starting from this edition, an additional Technical Question Round was introduced to blend fun with technical engagement.

Technical Round Details

Each team selected one member to participate in the round, which included:

• MCQ-based technical questions

• “Predict the Output” programming questions

This addition brought a unique balance between entertainment and technical thinking while maintaining the event’s fun-first atmosphere.
