TechIgnite was a beginner-friendly yet power-packed tech event designed to introduce students to the world of hackathons, web development, open source, and collaborative coding.

This 4.5-hour interactive session brought together aspiring developers to explore how real-world tech communities build, ship, and innovate. Whether attendees were complete beginners or already experimenting with code, TechIgnite helped them understand how to take their first (or next) serious step into the tech ecosystem.

    Understanding what hackathons really are, how to approach them strategically, and how to convert participation into real growth opportunities.

  • Web Development & The Current State of Tech
    A deep dive into modern web development, industry trends, and how students can position themselves in today’s fast-evolving tech landscape.

  • Intro to Open Source + Hands-on Git & GitHub Workshop
    Practical guidance on version control, collaboration workflows, and building a strong GitHub presence.
    Participants learned how to push code, manage repositories, and contribute confidently.
