Upside Down: A Technical Showdown

Upside Down is a flagship technical competition organized by GDG on Campus GRIET as part of COSMOS 2K26 at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Inspired by the mysterious world of the Upside Down, this two-day event is designed as a gamified technical journey where teams face themed challenges that test logic, technical skills, creativity, and teamwork.

📅 Event Details

• Event Duration: 2 Days

• Team Size: 1–4 Members

• Eligibility: 1st–4th year engineering students

• Format: No eliminations – cumulative scoring

• Prize Pool: ₹20,000

Participants will progress through three rounds:

Round 1 — Joyce’s Wall (Logic & Fundamentals)

Teams decode mysterious signals by solving logic puzzles, pattern recognition tasks, aptitude questions, and basic computer science problems. Difficulty increases gradually to challenge all participants.

Round 2 — Demogorgan hunt (Debug & Build)

Teams debug code, complete program logic, fix frontend issues, and identify algorithmic errors.

Tracks available:

1. Programming (C / Java / Python)

2. Web (HTML / CSS / JavaScript)

Round 3 — Mind Flayer Control (Domain Challenge)

Teams design innovative solutions in domains such as Web/App, AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Data, or UI/UX and present them to judges.
