TechSprint – GDG On Campus GIETU Hackathon.

TechSprint is a mandatory 2-day hackathon organized by Google Developers Group (GDG) On Campus, GIET University, as per GDG guidelines. Scheduled for 5th & 6th February at Smart Class 1&2, GIET University, this event aims to promote innovation, teamwork, and practical problem-solving skills among students.

Problem Statements:

PS1: The "Skill-Twin" Engine

Develop a Dynamic Curriculum Gap Analyzer that scrapes live job descriptions, compares them against university syllabus and student portfolios, and generates personalized "Bridge Course" roadmaps to bridge the employability gap.

SDG Alignment: SDG 4 (Quality Education) & SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)

PS2: The "Digital Archaeology" Challenge

Build a Semantic Search & Notification Engine using OCR to extract text from scanned PDFs/images on university websites, creating a Perplexity-style search interface for instant access to notices, schedules, and announcements.

SDG Alignment: SDG 4 (Quality Education)

PS3: The "Bandwidth-Agnostic" Challenge

Create a PWA wrapper or middleware that compresses university portal content, strips non-essential media, and delivers a text-lite interface consuming less than 50KB per page—ensuring accessibility for students with limited connectivity.

PS4: The "Holistic Interview Intelligence" Challenge

Develop an AI-powered interview preparation platform that analyzes both verbal (speech clarity, tone, confidence) and non-verbal (body language, eye contact, posture) communication, providing actionable feedback for comprehensive interview readiness.

SDG Alignment: SDG 4 (Quality Education)

• Each team can participate in only one problem statement

• Teams of 2-4 members (all from GIET University)

• Open to GIET University students only

• Freedom to choose any technology stack

• Open-source libraries and APIs allowed with proper acknowledgment

Rules & Regulations:

1. All solutions must be original work—plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification

2. Teams must work strictly on their assigned problem statement

3. Submissions include source code, documentation, and demo within deadline

4. Evaluation criteria: innovation, relevance, technical implementation, feasibility, impact, and presentation quality

5. Professional conduct mandatory; misconduct results in disqualification

6. Judging panel's decision is final and binding

7. Organizing team reserves the right to modify details with prior notice
