Event Description:
Join us for an exciting and insightful event where we'll delve into the fascinating world of "Exploring Antigravity and AI Studio." This unique session will introduce you to the groundbreaking shift in software development: the rise of agentic coding. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or a curious mind eager to explore new frontiers, this event promises to ignite your imagination and broaden your understanding of cutting-edge innovations. Network with like-minded individuals and get hands-on experience with Google's agent-first IDE and AI Studio tools that are redefining how we build full-stack applications. Let's explore the possibilities together! RSVP now to secure your spot and be part of this thrilling experience.
The Problem Statement:
Communities and students often face friction when trying to report local infrastructure issues, such as broken campus equipment or road hazards. Traditional reporting systems are slow, manual, and lack transparency, making it hard to track and prioritize repairs effectively.
What We Are Building (The Use Case):
Participants will build a "Smart Civic Issue Tracker," a full-stack web application. We will start in Google AI Studio to rapidly "vibe-code" the initial React frontend from simple text prompts. Then, we will transition to Google Antigravity. Using Antigravity's autonomous agents, attendees will instruct the IDE to automatically scaffold a Firebase backend (Firestore DB and Authentication) and integrate AI logic to automatically categorize reported issues in real-time.
Event Timeline:
10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Introduction to Agentic Development
Welcome and overview of the shift from standard AI assistants to "agent-first" workflows.
Introduction to the problem statement: building a seamless, full-stack civic reporting tool.
10:30 AM - 11:15 AM: Rapid Prototyping in Google AI Studio
Getting started with AI Studio's Build Mode.
Prompting for UI: Generating the React frontend for our issue tracker (dashboards, submission forms, and map interfaces).
11:15 AM - 12:45 PM: Hands-On with Google Antigravity IDE
Step 1: Exporting the AI Studio prototype into the Google Antigravity local desktop environment.
Step 2: Using the Antigravity Agent Manager to assign parallel tasks: setting up the Firebase database and securing the app with Google Auth.
Step 3: Utilizing the integrated Browser Agent to run automated "vibe checks" and debug the live application.
12:45 PM - 1:30 PM: Project Showcase & Networking
Participants test and showcase their deployed civic trackers.
Open Q&A, troubleshooting, and discussions on scaling agent-built apps.
Swag distribution and closing remarks.
