• Authentication & Authorization: Understand the critical difference between confirming a user’s identity and managing their specific permissions within an application.

• Password & Data Protection: Learn industry-standard practices for handling sensitive information, including why plain-text storage is dangerous and how to implement hashing algorithms like bcrypt or Argon2.

• Input Validation: Discover why developers should never trust user input and how to proactively validate data to prevent application crashes, data corruption, and security breaches.

• Common Vulnerabilities: Examine frequent backend security pitfalls, such as injection attacks and exposed secrets, and learn how to design systems that minimize these risks.
