Day 01 — Foundations: This session is designed to give participants a clear, practical introduction to backend development — the part of software that powers everything behind the scenes.

We’ll break down how real-world applications actually work, looking into how systems communicate, process data, and deliver results to users. Participants will learn how client requests (from a browser or mobile app) are handled by servers, how routing directs those requests, and how data is stored, retrieved, and managed using databases.

The session focuses on three core parts:

• APIs & Request-Response Cycle:

Understand how applications communicate, how requests are sent, processed, and returned as responses.

• Servers & Routing:

Learn how backend servers are structured and how they determine what happens when a request hits an endpoint.

• Databases & Data Handling:

Get a foundational understanding of how data is stored, queried, and managed in backend systems.

By the end of the session, participants will have a basic understanding of how frontend applications connect to backend services and how modern web systems operate as a whole.

This serves as a foundation for subsequent sessions, where participants will build and deploy their own backend systems.
