About this event

Programming usually involves wrestling with documentation, debugging environment variables, and missing semicolons. Not this Friday.

GDGoC FAST NUCES CFD is hosting a Mini-Hackathon focused on "Vibe Coding", the art of using AI to turn natural language into functional apps at the speed of thought. This isn't a lecture; it's a collective creative sprint. You won't be bogged down by complex frameworks, environment variables, or missing semicolons. Instead it distills down to the best part: the building. You will be using Google AI Studio and Gemini to go from a blank canvas to a deployed prototype in minutes. Show off your prompt engineering skills at this exciting challenge and get recognized as the "Chief Vibe Officer" of the community!

The Competition

  • The Challenge: You have about 90 minutes to build a web app based on one of 3 Mystery Themes (revealed at the kickoff).

  • The Tech: Google AI Studio (Gemini) + integrated Google technologies

  • The Goal: Build the most creative, functional, and "vibey" app possible.

Zero Experience Required

Never used AI Studio? Not a problem.

The event kicks off with a 20-minute live tactical demo. We will walk you through the entire workflow: prompting, iterating, and publishing. By the time the countdown starts, you’ll have every tool you need to win.

How to Win

  1. Build: Pick a theme and start prompting. Solo or teams (max 2).

  2. Submit: No complex Git pushes. Simply generate a public "Share" link on AI Studio and submit it via our live Google Form.

  3. Showcase: You will demo your submissions live in front of the panel.

  4. Portfolio: We encourage you to export your final code to GitHub—this is a great way to add a tangible project to your developer portfolio in just one morning.
