We're a 20-person team led by five committee leads. In under five months we've taken 13 hackathon wins and were represented at Google I/O 2026. If you want to build things with people who take it seriously and still have fun doing it, this is the group.

Hack The Nest 2026

Eastern Michigan University's first flagship hackathon. Up to 500 students, a 24-hour build window, and it's completely free to attend. We'll cover the tracks, the prizes, how teams work, and how to register. If you've never done a hackathon before, that's exactly who we built this for.

Build with AI: hands-on with Gemini

The second half is a live workshop. You'll build and deploy a small Gemini-powered application on your own laptop, start to finish, in the room. No experience required and no setup needed beforehand. Bring a laptop and a charger, we'll handle the rest.

Who should come

Any student, any major, any skill level. First-year students and first-time coders are genuinely welcome. Designers and business students too, since a hackathon team needs more than just coders.
