NewGen Code - Welcome to the Coding Competition for K30 Freshmen.

The "NewGen Code" competition is a platform designed for all K30 freshmen at Duy Tan University who are passionate about programming and eager to explore the world of technology. This is an excellent opportunity for you to:

  • Challenge yourself: Apply your programming knowledge to solve real-world problems and create innovative projects.
  • Connect with the community: Meet like-minded individuals, exchange experiences, and learn from seasoned programmers.
  • Enhance your skills: Improve your programming skills, logical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
  • Earn attractive rewards: Valuable prizes await outstanding contestants.

Eligibility:

  • All K30 freshmen at Duy Tan University.

Competition Details:

  • Timeline: 01/12/2024;
  • Venue: Duy Tan University, 03 Quang Trung, Hai Chau I, Hai Chau, Da Nang, Viet Nam.
  • Format: Offline

Content:

Qualifying round:

Format: Online via Zoom Meeting.
Time: Scheduled for 24/11/2024.
Participants: All K30 students passionate about programming can register individually or in teams.
Individual Round:
  • Content: Participants will solve a set of programming problems ranging from easy to medium difficulty.
  • Time limit: 120 minutes.
  • Scoring: Automated scoring based on the number of correct solutions and completion time.

Team Round:

  • Content: Teams of 3-5 members will collaborate to solve programming problems.
  • Time limit: 120 minutes.
  • Scoring: Automated scoring based on the total number of correct solutions and completion time. Evaluation:

Individual: Top performers based on the number of correct solutions and time will advance to the Final Round.

Team: Teams with the highest total score and fastest completion time will advance to the Final Round.

Quota:  30 individuals and 10 teams that will advance to the final round of the competition..

Final round: 

Format: In-person competition at [Location].

Time: Scheduled for [date/month].

Participants: Qualified individuals and teams from the Preliminary Round.

Individual Round:

  • Content: Participants will solve more complex programming problems.
  • Time limit: 180 minutes.
  • Scoring: Both automated and manual judging based on accuracy, speed, and creativity.

Team Round:

  • Content: Teams will collaborate to solve a series of challenging problems.
  • Time limit: 180 minutes.
  • Scoring: Manual judging based on teamwork effectiveness, solution accuracy, and creativity. 

Individual: Judges will assess based on accuracy, speed, and creativity.

Team: Judges will evaluate teamwork effectiveness, solution accuracy, and creativity.
