🛠️ Before the Workshop (Prerequisites)

Please complete these steps before arriving to maximize our hands-on time:

1. Technical Basics

  • Laptop: Fully charged (outlets may be limited).

  • Specs: Any OS (Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS); 4GB RAM recommended.

  • Editor: Install VS Code (recommended) or Cursor if you plan to code.

2. Gemini Access (Required)

You must have a Google account ready.

  1. Visit gemini.google.com and sign in.

  2. Accept the Terms of Service.

  3. Test it: Ask a simple question to ensure it's working.

  4. Optional: Consider a Gemini Advanced trial for more complex tasks or Claude Pro for agentic coding.

3. Development Tools (Optional)

If you want to build projects during the hackathon, we recommend:

  • Python: Install via uv for easy package management.
