About this event

Are you interested in the world of data science and analytics but feel overwhelmed by where to start?

Join us for a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop where we will demystify data analysis using Python. We will dive into a real-world dataset, walking through the analytical workflow from raw numbers to actionable insights. You will learn how to go beyond basic data preparation to focus on answering complex questions and visualizing the hidden story.

This session is split between interactive concept learning and a guided coding session using Python and Kaggle, the industry-standard platform for data science and machine learning.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how to:

  • Navigate Kaggle: Learn how to find datasets, use cloud notebooks, and leverage the platform to build your data portfolio.

  • Inspect and Prep: Use essential Python and Pandas functions to quickly diagnose and handle raw, real-world data.

  • Uncover Trends: Use powerful techniques to answer complex questions and find data-driven answers.

  • Visualize the Story: Build clear, insightful visualizations using Seaborn and Matplotlib to bring your findings to life.

Whether you have basic programming knowledge but are new to data analysis, or you are a developer looking to broaden your skillset, this session will provide the practical tools to start exploring data on your own.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a solid understanding of fundamental data concepts, the confidence to tackle larger datasets, and a published Kaggle Notebook to take home, an excellent addition to your resume or GitHub portfolio.

This is an online event. Once you RSVP, the Join button will become available on the event page.
