About this event

💡 What's Happening:

Registration starts at 5 pm!

💻Gemini-powered Ice Breaker (5:30 - 6 pm) (Library & Cafeteria)

Join us for an engaging activity in which you will use your creativity, drawing skills, and get help (if needed) from Gemini Pro to get to know other attendees and compete for an exclusive Google Developers merch.

🧠 Prompt Like a Pro with Gemini Pro (6 - 7 pm) (Room 1D24)

Next, meet us for the workshop that will cover basics as well as advanced techniques of prompt engineering. Our GDG Executive Leads will go over the pillars of prompting, the difference between prompting for text, image, code, and advanced prompting techniques. Whether you have been using Large Language Models for a while or are just starting out, you will learn something new at this workshop. There are no prerequisites for this workshop. Students from all programs will benefit from attending!

🕵️ TryHackMe Workshop: Introduction to Cybersecurity Labs (6 - 7 pm) (Room 1D22)

Join us for an interactive workshop introducing TryHackMe, a beginner-friendly platform for learning cybersecurity through hands-on, gamified exercises. Whether you’re completely new to ethical hacking or looking to strengthen your practical skills, this session will walk you through how TryHackMe works and how you can start your own cybersecurity learning journey.

🍕Food and fun activities (7 - 7:30 pm) (Cafeteria)

⌨️ "Build" (and keep) Your Own Keypad (7:30 - 9 pm) (Room 1F05)

After the refreshments, meet us for the hands-on part of our DevFest, where you will be customizing and programming a pre-assembled keypad (you will get to take it home!). This beginner-friendly session will be led by GDG's aspiring embedded software developer. In this workshop, you will learn about programming with hardware, and you will get a chance to program and take home a keypad to increase your productivity while programming, 3D modelling, gaming, drawing, or doing anything else!

💬 Networking Panel (7:30 - 9 pm) (Library)

Alternatively, meet us for the networking and engaging panel session with speakers from the startups, academia, and industry. During this session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions that interest you as well as build better connections with the speakers and audience in the last 30 minutes of the session. We will announce our speaker panel soon, so stay tuned!

🎁 Plus:

Keypads, exclusive Google Developers merch, food, opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, and tons of learning and fun activities throughout the evening!
