OpenVerse Hackathon is a campus wide innovation challenge hosted by GDG On Campus Bharati Vidyapeeth Department of Management Studies, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai as part of the official TechSprint campaign running from 5 December to 15 January.
This hybrid hackathon invites students from inside and outside the campus to build real world solutions under the theme Open Innovation, giving participants complete freedom to choose their own problem statements. Projects can be developed in any domain, but each submission must include at least one Google technology such as Firebase, Gemini API, Google Cloud, Google Maps API or Android.
The hackathon will run in structured phases.
Students may participate solo or form teams of up to four members. Once registrations conclude, teams will begin building their projects online and submit them through the Hack2Skill platform with a deployed project link, GitHub repository, demo video and presentation. The submission window closes on 13 January.
Three official events will be hosted as part of this campaign.
An offline Info Session on 11 December will introduce the rules, structure and expectations.
An offline Workshop on 12 December will guide participants on how to plan, build and deploy a complete project.
The final Winner Announcement will take place in mid January.
All evaluations will be done internally based on innovation, execution quality, real world impact and Google technology integration. The top three teams will receive rewards directly from Google. Winners will receive physical certificates, and all participants will earn digital certificates from GDG On Campus.
OpenVerse Hackathon aims to inspire creativity, promote hands on learning and provide students with a strong platform to build meaningful solutions using modern Google technologies.
