The gender gap in Pakistan's tech ecosystem is not a pipeline problem. Women are not absent from technology because they lack ability. They are absent because they have never been shown a room where they belong—HERTech is that room.

Organized by Women in Tech (WiT) and the Google Developers Group on Campus (GDGoC), HERTech is Beaconhouse National University's first-ever women-in-technology event. We are bringing together 100–150 digitally active, socially engaged women to bridge the confidence gap and step into the future of technology.

✨ The HERTech Experience (Three Core Pillars)

HERTech is a full-day immersive experience structured across three empowering pillars:

• BUILD (Hands-on Workshops): Master practical skills with beginner-friendly workshops in AI, prompt engineering, and Figma prototyping. Every participant leaves having built something real.

• BELONG (Community & Networking): Experience peer networking, team formation, and onboarding into the HERTech community. Build connections with mentors and peers that last beyond the day.

• BECOME (Inspiring Panels): Draw inspiration from our "InnovateHER" and "#HERImpact" panels featuring diverse women who have built impact across tech, sport, media, civil service, and entrepreneurship.

💻 The Centerpiece: "Pitch HER Idea" Mini Hackathon

Are you ready to innovate? The centerpiece of HERTech is the Pitch HER Idea: Tech for Real Change Mini Hackathon.

• The Challenge: Teams of 3–4 women will work through a complete innovation cycle in just one hour—from problem identification to a live pitch.

• The Goal: Design one tech-enabled solution addressing persistent challenges in women's safety, education, career progression, or mental well-being.

• No Coding Required: You will create a 3–4 screen clickable prototype and a pitch deck using the skills learned in the morning workshops. Mixed disciplines are actively encouraged!

• Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026

• Time: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Full Day)

• Venue: Auditorium (Room 007) + Workshop Space, BNU Lahore

• Audience: Women aged 15–25 from all academic backgrounds (O/A Level, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate)
