Between May 16–18, BanuJam was held at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University as part of a hackathon supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) and powered by the Unides program. This event marked the first-ever gamejam at our university and aimed to bring together talented youth interested in game development.

The event hosted 15 teams of 4 participants each, with a total of 60 physical attendees from surrounding provinces such as Manisa, Istanbul, Yalova, Bursa, and İzmir. Participating universities included:

Yalova University

Bursa Technical University

İzmir University of Economics

Uludağ University

Gedik University

İstanbul Topkapı University

İstanbul Beykent University

and the host, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Over the span of 48 hours, participants developed their own games from scratch, centered around a predefined theme, and showcased their creativity, collaboration, and technical skills in a dynamic competition setting.

At the end of the event, a qualified jury panel evaluated the projects. The top three teams received the following cash prizes:

🥇 1st place: 15,000 TL

🥈 2nd place: 10,000 TL

🥉 3rd place: 5,000 TL

Additionally, all three winning teams were accepted into the pre-incubation program at Ankara Technopark, providing them with the opportunity to further develop their games and grow their ideas into real ventures.

BanuJam was not only a competition but also an inspiring gathering that showcased the power of collaboration, creativity, and innovation among young developers.
