About this event

BuildSprint 1.0

BuildSprint is a 30-day build-in-public challenge created by GDGoC HUI to help students and early-career tech talents stay consistent, grow their skills, and build real, portfolio-worthy projects.

This challenge is designed for everyone in tech, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re a developer, designer, technical writer, content creator, or creative technologist, this is a space to start where you are, build daily, and grow with a supportive community.

The goal is simple: pick one project, show up every day, and make visible progress for 30 days.

What the Challenge Is About

BuildSprint encourages participants to:

  • Build consistently instead of waiting for “the perfect time”

  • Share progress publicly to stay accountable

  • Learn through practice, feedback, and community support

  • End the challenge with something meaningful they can proudly showcase

It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress, discipline, and growth.

Who Can Participate

The challenge is open to everyone in tech, including but not limited to:

  • Frontend, backend, and full-stack developers

  • Mobile/app developers

  • UI/UX designers

  • Graphics designers

  • Technical writers

  • Data Scientists/ Analysts

  • Video Animators

Participants can join only individually

How It Works

  1. Choose one project before the challenge begins ( either from the list of projects provided or any project of your choice) but from only from a category and must be relevant to your skill set

  2. Work on that project daily for 30 days

  3. Share your progress every day on social media (X, LinkedIn, and/or Instagram)

  4. Tag GDGoC HUI and use the hashtag #BuildSprint1.0

  5. Show clear progress relevant to your skill area (code, designs, content, drafts, demos, etc.)

Consistency matters more than how big or complex the project is.
