This session delivers a comprehensive, hands-on exploration of network security, starting with advanced port scanning techniques and IDS/Firewall evasion methods to effectively master the reconnaissance phase.
It then progresses into critical infrastructure vulnerabilities, with a focus on Layer 2 attacks such as MAC Flooding, DHCP Starvation, and Rogue DHCP, alongside the practical execution of sniffing and Man-in-the-Middle (MiTM) attacks.
The session further examines the impact of Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks through both volumetric and protocol-based vectors. It concludes with a practical demonstration of exploiting the EternalBlue (MS17-010) vulnerability, highlighting how real-world system compromise can occur.
Throughout the session, each module combines solid theoretical foundations with hands-on labs, ensuring a deep understanding of offensive techniques as well as their corresponding mitigation strategies.
