ABU Tech Fest 2026 is the flagship annual technology festival of Google Developer Groups on Campus, Ahmadu Bello University, the largest student-led tech gathering in Northern Nigeria.

This is our second edition, scaling from 500+ attendees in 2025 to a projected 1,000+ students across ABU and partner institutions in Zaria. Under the theme "Next-Gen Developers: Skills and Opportunities for 2026 and Beyond," the festival brings together students, developers, founders, and industry professionals for a full day of learning, innovation, and career development.

Attendees will experience hands-on workshops and tech talks led by industry experts, a hackathon and pitch competition where students build real solutions to real problems, networking sessions connecting students directly with recruiters and tech professionals, and panel discussions on career growth in tech.

ABU Tech Fest is built for every student not just those in Computer Science and Engineering. Whether you're in Medicine, Agriculture, Business, Law, or any other field, this event is designed to show you how technology and AI are already reshaping your world, and how you can be part of building that future.

This festival is the culmination of our semester-long Lab Sessions series, where students have been building, learning, making this event not just a one-day experience, but the celebration of a community that has spent months getting ready for this exact moment.
