Join us for a hands-on beginner flutter workshop, hosted by Nicholas, designed for web developers to get into mobile application development with Flutter. Learn the fundamentals of Flutter by exploring key concepts such as stateless and stateful widgets and how we can use them to build interactive applications.

Outline of the workshop as follows:
✅ Flutter SDK & IDE Setup - Brief touch-up on setting up Flutter SDK to get development environment going on
✅ Stateless & Stateful widgets - Understanding differences between these widgets and how they look like in action (we'll focus on stateless widgets in this session)
✅ Adding Assets & Images - How to use installed assets that's available without making network requests (fonts, images, etc.)
✅ Data fetching & Model classes - Performing network request to get data and decode it into data that Flutter can use
✅ OpenAPI - tooling used to reduce boilerplate code for client-to-server interactions
✅ Commonly Used Widgets - Introduction of widgets that's commonly used in Flutter development to create UIs (e.g., Row, Column, etc.)

By the end of workshop, we hope you are able to create a simple mock-up version of a mobile User Interface, which will become the starting point for our next workshop in the future!

What attendees need to bring to follow-along the workshop session:

• A laptop with Wi-Fi & charger, Flutter SDK, and an IDE (VSCode recommended) pre-installed.
