🚀 Hacktoberfest 2026 is here!

Join GeekInk Innovations, GDG Gombe, Open Source Learners, and the Gombe tech community as we kick off a month of learning, collaboration, open source, and AI-powered building.

This kickoff session marks the beginning of our Hacktoberfest Gombe 2026 journey, where developers, students, designers, and curious builders will explore what is possible with open-source AI and open-weight models.

🤖 What We'll Do

• Explore open-source AI and open-weight models

• Discover practical AI use cases

• Learn how to participate in Hacktoberfest

• Brainstorm real-world problems worth solving

• Start project ideation

• Connect with other builders

• Begin forming Hack Day teams

• Introduce upcoming workshops and challenges

• Learn how to prepare for the upcoming Hack Day

🎯 Your First Challenge

Come with one problem you would love to solve.

Think about challenges around:

🌾 Agriculture
🎓 Education
🏥 Health
⚡ Energy
🏙️ Smart communities
💼 Business
🌍 Local community problems

We'll help you turn those problems into ideas, teams, and eventually working prototypes.
