You've got the idea, coded the app, and need to deploy it, but need to know how to do that exactly.  Or maybe you've inherited an existing App Engine app and been given "light documentation" on how to deploy it. 

Google App Engine is a commonly used environment to deploy your applications to in Google Cloud alongside options like Cloud Run, and either for new applications, or to support existing applications, App Engine is good to learn about.

At this event you will get to practice working with App Engine with Node.js and ASP.NET Core in Google Cloud.

This week's hands-on labs:

Deploy Node.js Express Application in App Engine

In this lab, you will learn how to create a Node.js Express application on Google App Engine. Then you will learn how to update the code without taking the server down.

Deploy an ASP.NET Core App to App Engine

In this lab, you will deploy a simple ASP.NET Core app to App Engine Flexible environment. This lab builds on the "Build and Launch an ASP.NET Core app from Google Cloud Shell" lab.

You'll work through Google Cloud labs to get hands-on experience and when you complete each whole quest, you earn a badge for your LinkedIn!

I enjoy JavaScript, React, Rails, Python, SQL and anything new I can learn!) will be joining as a special guest speaker.  In the School of Cloud event series, Jeff Williams (Google Tech Lead - UC Berkeley) and Elaine Chan (CS - Western Michigan University) lead the group through weekly events using Qwiklabs to help you learn more about Cloud Computing and running your projects on Google servers in the cloud.
