About this event

Processors and internet connections are in seemingly all the things these days.  Do you have a good way to manage your company's Internet of Things (IoT) device fleet and to process and analyze the data they generate?

Cloud IoT Core is useful for managing fleets of deployed IoT devices.

BigQuery is useful for analyzing data.

If you combine both of those together, you've got a solution.

Google Cloud Platform has great tools to bridge the gap from Cloud IoT Core to BigQuery: Cloud Pub/Sub and Cloud Dataflow.

At this event you will get to practice working with data using Cloud Pub/Sub and Cloud Dataflow to help you prepare for the Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer Certification.

This week's hands-on lab:

Building an IoT Analytics Pipeline on Google Cloud

This lab shows you how to connect and manage devices using Cloud IoT Core; ingest the stream of information using Cloud Pub/Sub; process the IoT data using Cloud Dataflow; use BigQuery to analyze the IoT data. Watch this short video, Easily Build an IoT Analytics Pipeline.

We'll work through the lab to get hands-on experience and when you complete each whole quest, you earn a badge for your LinkedIn!

Learn data engineering skills one week at a time.
