Development in the cloud is often times about connecting things together. Standard methods and formats enable that integration. This event is all about that with two hands-on labs that demonstrate the power of connecting daily-use tools (Gmail, Sheets) with Google services.
At this event you will get to practice working with both AppsScript and using BigQuery via Google Sheets, hands-on.
This week's hands-on labs:
Google Apps Script: Access Google Sheets, Maps & Gmail in 4 Lines of Code
In this lab, we'll introduce you to one of the easiest ways to write code that accesses Google developer technologies, all by leveraging one of the mainstream web development languages, JavaScript.
Connected Sheets: Qwik Start
With Connected Sheets, you can analyze billions of rows and petabytes of data in Google Sheets without specialized knowledge of computer languages like SQL. In this hands-on-lab, you will learn how to connect a BigQuery dataset to Google Sheets and analyze your data.
You'll work through Google Cloud labs to get hands-on experience and when you complete each whole quest, you earn a badge for your LinkedIn!
With the help of great volunteers, Jeff Williams (Google Tech Lead - UC Berkeley) and Elaine Chan (CS - Western Michigan University) lead the group through weekly events using Qwiklabs to help you learn more about Cloud Computing and running your projects on Google servers in the cloud.
Invite a friend who could benefit, and we'll be happy to help them also get access to qwiklabs.com and to help them get started
Don't miss out on the fun on Wednesdays as we learn cloud computing skills, one week at a time, with a goal of helping you level up!
