"That billing dashboard is so useful!"  That sounds good, right?  Finishing our FinOps quest in GCP we'll be working with billing data in Google Data Studio and Google Sheets.  Your CFO will be amazed.. 

This is all about learning to visualize cloud billing reports and to make the data in them accessible for analysis in Google Sheets (via BigQuery) with two hands-on labs where we will use billing data as the inputs and make amazing outputs from it.

At this event you will get to practice working with Google Data Studio, BigQuery, and Google Sheets.

Visualizing Billing Data with Google Data Studio

In this lab, you will harness the power of Data Studio, where you will learn how to build billing graphs and charts so you can slice and dice your GCP bill the way you want.

Examining BigQuery Billing Data in Google Sheets

Use Google Sheets data connector to harness the power of BigQuery. The Sheets data connector lets you access and use data analytic functions to run queries and analyze data. You could create a Sheet to access and analyze your sales data, for example, then configure your Sheet to always reflect current data.

You'll work through Google Cloud labs to get hands-on experience and when you complete each whole quest, you earn a badge for your LinkedIn!

With the help of great volunteers, Jeff Williams (Google Tech Lead - UC Berkeley) and Elaine Chan (CS - Western Michigan University) lead the group through weekly events using Qwiklabs to help you learn more about Cloud Computing and running your projects on Google servers in the cloud.
