Jose Andrade of Google will present on the topic of Site Reliability Engineering.

Description:
What is Site Reliability Engineering? How does it compare to DevOps? How does Google do SRE? What are SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets? How to do Risk Analysis and get a Product Maturity Assessment. All these questions can be answered during a brief presentation

Speaker Bio:
Jose Andrade is a Senior Solutions Consultant at Google specializing on infrastructure, SRE/DevOps and large-scale migrations. He has over 18 years of experience working in technology, on topics that range from software development to networking and systems administration. He currently helps large enterprise customers implement cloud technologies with a focus on reliability and scalability and helps startups run their applications efficiently in GCP.

Before joining Google, Jose was a Senior Solutions Architect at Yale University, where he led a team of Senior DevOps Engineers in the development and implementation of custom solutions for consumption and automation of cloud services. He also worked for the federal Judiciary as a software engineer, and was a founding editor and technology journalist with Engadget. He has organized DevOps conferences and community meet-ups with the goal of creating a more inclusive and diverse culture.

Jose holds a Master's degree in Information Management Systems from Harvard University and a BS in Management Information Systems from Liberty University.

In his spare time he enjoys traveling the world with his wife and daughter.
