Talk 1: Zero Trust with Identity as the New Perimeter

As organizations embrace cloud adoption, remote work, and AI-driven systems, the old “castle and moat” security model no longer applies. Access now extends beyond human users to machines, devices, and agentic AI, making identity the true perimeter. Zero Trust has emerged as the guiding principle—trust nothing by default, and continuously verify every request.

In this session, Barsha Karki will explore how Zero Trust and identity-centric security are reshaping modern application design. She will share practical approaches to implementing identity-driven security and lessons learned from leading teams that secure both human and machine identities at scale.

Talk 2: Real-time Job Analysis using Gemini as a Chrome Extension

Job hunting can feel overwhelming—tailoring resumes, comparing job descriptions, and figuring out what employers want. What if AI could simplify this process in real time?

In this session, Rupesh Shrestha will show how a Chrome Extension, powered by Gemini and modern web technologies, helps applicants track jobs, analyse resumes against job descriptions, and receive instant feedback to improve their applications. He will walk through the project’s motivation, architecture, and technologies—including React, Vue, TypeScript, IndexedDB, and service workers—and share lessons learned from building the tool.

About the speaker — Rupesh Shrestha
Rupesh Shrestha is a Software Developer experienced in building, automating, and integrating solutions that make business processes efficient and reliable. He works with C#, .NET, Node.js, and React to design scalable APIs and systems for complex workflows. He also works extensively with Azure, using serverless computing, databases, Azure Functions, and Service Bus to create maintainable, high-performing applications. What excites him most is solving complex problems—optimising processes, automating tasks, and connecting systems to work seamlessly together.
