Session Title: Implications of Agentic AI for Identity Security

Session Abstract: AI agents hold tremendous promise to boost enterprise productivity with automated workflows, decision-making, and actions across the environment. There are three emerging models of how agent identities are managed and agents gain permissions, each with their own benefits and challenges. These agents also present new identity security risks, such as lack of visibility and control of agents, changes to the access control paradigm, and unintended consequences of goal-driven behavior. Rich leads the strategy function at Veza. This includes driving long-term direction and key new initiatives across product, go-to-market, growth, competitive position, and marketing. Rich previously led the product management team for Okta through their IPO period. He also led the product management team for Data Loss Prevention at Symantec and managed several products at security startups Vontu and IronPort Systems.  He began his career in management consulting at Mitchell Madison Group, earned his Ph.D. in materials science at Caltech, and his undergraduate degree in physics from Stanford.  Outside of work, Rich enjoys long walks on his treadmill desk and surreptitiously finding large objects around the house to dispose of without his family’s knowledge.
