Welcome to the inaugural GDG Cloud Philly meetup! Were super excited to host our first event and grow a community of knowledge around cloud technologies.

In this meetup we delve through the plethora of cloud database options available. We will explore common use cases, interactions, performance, scalability, and cost of each database option. Some of the databases we'll be covering:

Open Source Databases:

- MySQL + MariaDB
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- CockroachDB

Vendor Proprietary Databases:

- Cloud Spanner
- Cloud Datastore
- Cloud BigTable
- Firebase
- Cloud FireStore
- DynamoDB
- Aurora
- CosmosDB

By the end of the event we hope to arm you with the ability to decide what database (or databases) are a good choice for any kind of project.
