Firebase has long been known as a great platform for building mobile apps quickly. Cloud Firestore is the successor to Firebase's realtime database and resolved many qualms that developers had with the realtime database (like running queries server side) and adds many performance improvements. Google announced that Cloud Firestore will be replacing Cloud Datastore as their defunct serverless NoSQL database.

At this event we'll do a deep dive into the Firebase platform, the Cloud Firestore database, and build an application using all of the build in features that Firebase has to offer.
