11:10 AM	⏯️Eng Leong & Jecelyn Yeen: RM 5 — Elevating the Zapfan (economy rice) Experience with AI & Google Cloud	Zapfan admins - Eng Leong (Senior SWE @ The Access Group), Jecelyn Yeen (Principal SWE @ The Access Group) In Malaysia, Zapfan (Economy Rice) is the ultimate budget meal. But who says the tech behind ordering it has to be expensive? This talk is a deep dive into how we transformed the zapfan order experience for our office staff. We’ll trace the journey from a messy Excel sheet to a "vibe-coded" Apps Script app, with an WhatsApp bot that handles the chaos of economy rice orders, make it creative and helpful with Gemini—all while keeping the monthly Google Cloud bill under RM 5. We’ll strip away the "enterprise" fluff and look at the Frugal Architect’s Stack: leveraging Google App Script, VM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Firebase and the Gemini API to create a seamless user experience without the premium price tag. What you’ll learn: • The "Kiam Siap" (Stingy) Architecture: How to orchestrate Cloud VMs, Firebase and Serverless functions within the free/low-cost tiers. • AI for the Masses: Integrating the Gemini API into a WhatsApp workflow for real-world NLP. • Production on a Budget: Real-world lessons from running a live service where the infrastructure costs less than a fried chicken wing.

The next generation is already in college, and the industry is counting on them more than it knows. This talk is the playbook I wish I'd had. Educator bridging campus and corporate: I make cloud computing make sense for future technologists and help companies adopt AI tools they actually use. Practical approach, zero gatekeeping, maybe a meme or two—because if we can't teach the next generation of builders, who's going to build what comes next?
